Terms of Use

Welcome to NeuroParent. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NeuroParent mobile application ("the App") operated by NeuroParent ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the App. The App is designed for use by parents, caregivers, and therapists. Children may use certain features (such as Kids Mode) only under the supervision of a parent or caregiver.

2. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

NeuroParent offers auto-renewable subscription plans:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next subscription period following the date of the price change.

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose — supporting the care, understanding, and development of neurodivergent children. You agree not to:

The App includes AI-powered features that use third-party artificial intelligence services to provide personalised insights, suggestions, and support. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

You will be asked to provide explicit consent before any of your data is processed by AI features. You may opt out of AI-powered features at any time through the App's settings, and the App will continue to function with its core features.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all data and content you create within the App, including meltdown logs, mood entries, voice notes, schedules, and any other information you input ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App's services to you.

NeuroParent is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is designed as a supportive tool for caregivers and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, therapeutic, or psychological advice. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for decisions about your child's health and development.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, content, and branding, is the property of NeuroParent and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information, including how data is shared with third-party AI services. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@neuroparent.app. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NeuroParent and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's reliability, accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the applicable courts in your jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or sending you an email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
